First 100 days session for MBA students
Published: 4th June 2018
Brewster Pratap Partner Nigel Brewster delivered another well received interactive talk as part of our ongoing support for the University of Sheffield’s Management School. This latest session covered topics as part of the half-day ‘First 100 days in a new Executive job’ session including, ‘Personal Branding’, ‘Stakeholder Management’ and ‘Communication’. Nigel said “The topic of ‘your first 100 days in a new Executive job’ isn’t just about those looking to move between companies. It is equally important for those looking to move within their own organisation, but is often overlooked, and that is a key point we tried to make during the session.”
Commenting on the content of the session, Nigel said “There is never a ‘one size fits all’ approach to managing your own career, but given our huge experience in this area we certainly have a number of key observations of some of the major do’s and don’ts.” He went on to say “The amount of questions and discussion during the session proved again that Executive career moves continue to be one of the most hotly debated topics for students studying Executive Management related courses and, although not part of the formal MBA studies, the University of Sheffield Management School should be applauded for recognising this and providing opportunities for updates and advice to their Management students”.
