Brewster Partners support Leger Legends
Published: 17th September 2021
The sun was certainly shining last week as some of the Brewster Partners team got their glad rags on to attend the 2021 Leger Legends Race Day with a number of our clients and candidates.
Our very own Nigel Brewster is the chair of the organising committee for the race, which is held on the first day of the world famous St Leger Festival at Doncaster Racecourse.
Leger Legends was first run in 2010 and has, over the past decade, raised more than £1 million for the Injured Jockeys Fund Jack Berry House and The National Horseracing College.
Since its launch in 1964, the Injured Jockeys Fund has helped more than 1,000 jockeys and their families and has paid out more than £18m in charitable assistance.
The charity’s Jack Berry House, which is based in Malton, North Yorkshire, provides specialist rehabilitation treatment for physical and neurological injuries
Once again, kindly sponsored by Elwick Stud, this years ‘Mondialiste Leger Legends Classified Stakes’ saw the welcome return of many thousands of spectators on the opening day of the St Leger festival at Doncaster.
This year’s race wasn’t without it’s challenges as a result of COVID-19, however the committee were able to organise a tremendous day which raised a fantastic sum of money for two fantastic charities
Special thanks must go to race sponsors Elwick Stud, Arena Racing Company, the jockeys and trainers and the organising committee for making the event such a great success.
