A busy SME business based in Sheffield are looking to add to their finance team with the appointment of an Accounts Assistant. This business is incredibly busy and the role has been created to support the current Finance Manager. The company have a great reputation, both internally with employees and externally with customers and pride themselves in creating a friendly working environment.
Supporting the Finance Manager, you will be heavily involved in the credit control for the business. Chasing overdue accounts by phone and email, you will have a proactive approach and be able to prioritise your workload. You will be responsible for allocating cash and posting this onto the ledger, as well as dealing with the sales and purchase ledger invoicing. You will also be responsible for bank reconciliation as well as reconciling customer statements.
This role would be perfect for an Accounts Assistant with strong knowledge of transactional finance and experience of managing sales ledger and purchase ledger but with a particular emphasis on credit control. You will have excellent working knowledge of Sage 50 and Excel and be a confident communicator, both written and verbal.
