The job

This is a great role for an ambitious and commercially minded Assistant Accountant looking for a business in which they can utilise their skills and experience whilst being developed by senior members of the finance team.  Supporting the Finance Manager, you will be assisting with the production of the management accounts on a monthly basis to include accruals & prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, posting journals and producing reports. You will have extensive knowledge of transactional finance, being able to pick up purchase ledger, sales ledger or credit control duties during periods of absence within the transactional team and be looking for a role that will enable you to develop your skill set. 

The person

This role would be perfect for an Accounts Assistant looking for a step up into a role with more involvement in the management accounts cycle. If you have started studying or are looking to commence study, this role will give you the opportunity to utilise your theoretical knowledge on a daily basis, working for a supportive Finance Manager who prides themselves on developing their staff.  We are also welcoming applications from individuals currently operating as an Assistant Accountant but looking for a more commercial, dynamic environment. You must have an excellent grounding in transactional finance, as well as the ability to undertake journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations and accruals and prepayments.  Excellent ability with Excel is also required for the role, with the ability to provide reports and analysis.
