An established and well respected business in Sheffield are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Officer on a permanent basis. This business has been trading for many years, developing a strong market share in their field as well as an a reputation for excellence in their industry. They are currently in an exciting phase of expanding into a new market, meaning there is lots of positive change and opportunities for development within the company.
This is a great opportunity to join a highly experienced payroll team and be part of a company with a vibrant and positive culture. The role will be to manage payroll on both a monthly and weekly basis along with the associated month end processes and reporting. You will be a key point of contact internally, dealing with payroll related queries, as well as managing the company's pension administration. Managing starters and leavers is part of this position, as well as the benefits packages and calculating annual leave entitlements.
Applications are welcome from individuals who have payroll experience within either the private or public sector, who have successfully managed payroll processes on a weekly and monthly basis. Benefits and pensions administration skills are also a requirement of this role and, whilst the payroll system is fully automated, the ability to manually calculate statutory payments would be an advantage. Excellent IT skills along with the ability to communicate with colleagues of all levels are a must for this role, along with a proactive, autonomous nature.
