Working for a leading brand within the financial services sector, this role as Group Reporting Analyst will offer full exposure to commercial analysis, financial planning, reporting and finance business partnering!

The Head Offices for this business are in South Leeds, where this role will be based reporting into the Commercial Finance Manager - but they work hybrid/flexible working pattern now, so you have the option to work from home two days per week!

The job

 Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, the key duties of this role will be to:

  • Deliver insightful monthly reporting which critically analyses performance against budget and identifies trends.
  • Assess key performance drivers and partner with business leads to prepare analysis and commentary ensuring key messages are clearly articulated to Senior Management to aid decision making
  • Optimise and develop financial reporting tools to deliver continuous improvement and drive the level of insight and challenge we can provide in supporting business decision making and performance review
  • Apply a commercial mentality in telling the story behind the numbers, and work to build new ways of analysing and communicating business performance for both internal and external audiences
  • Produce high quality non-financial reporting which helps to deliver against strategic objectives through highlighting areas of success and those requiring further attention

The person

 The successful candidate will:

  • Be ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified - Essential
  • Have previous experience in a financial analyst or financial reporting role - Essential
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence a range of business partners at all levels, both internal and external - Essential
  • Have strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
