Supply Chain Manager
Brewster Partners are working in exclusive partnership with a Sheffield based SME manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager.
The business is currently going through a busy and exciting period of growth and requires a tough character with a strong track record who can go on the journey with them.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this will be a group role, covering different sites and a range of different suppliers.
Managing a team of Buyers and Administrators, the duties of the role will involve:
- Inventory policy and systems to maximise cash and eliminate shortages
- Setting and maintaining ROL’s ROQ’s Safety Stocks etc
- Supplier selection and performance management
- Setting up vendor rating systems, and negotiating terms and prices
- Identifying opportunities to consolidate suppliers or materials or find new suppliers
The business is looking for a strong Supply Chain, Purchasing or Procurement professional with in depth experience within the manufacturing sector who is used to having sometimes difficult conversations with suppliers.
You will need to be very capable and comfortable with an ERP environment, but have a pragmatic approach to problem solving too.
