The company

A national charity with offices in Sheffield are looking to recruit a Specialist Manager that will lead a team of transactional specialists to ensure the smooth running of the operational side of the charity.

The job

This role will work closely with the Director ensuring that internal and external stakeholders, customers and suppliers are fully supported in all their transactional requirements and enquiry resolution as well as complex and escalated queries.

You establish, maintain and lead a team of line managers who are responsible for employee and volunteer onboarding, recruitment, purchase ledger and expense payments, sales invoice production, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, fundraising

You will lead the team as they deal with high volume transactional processing ensuring that the charity’s polices and processes are adhered to whilst ensuring appropriate controls are in place to protect the integrity of the volume and range of financial transactions overseen

 You will aslso apply subject-specific technical expertise and insight, initiative and judgement to ensure the highest standards of enquiry resolution and process completion are achieved and targeting customer delight with every transaction completed alongside ensuring sufficient technically skilled resource is available to resolve complex queries, handle escalated and technical issues.

This is a new position and will give a talented accountant the opportunity to make the role their own. 

The person

You will be ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified with experience of working in a similar role ideally within a shared service environment.

You will need management experience and demonstrable evidence of leading a transactional team as well as in leadership, analysis and management of transactional activities. Ideally you will also have experience of payroll processes and systems.

This role will deal with internal and external stakeholders therefore you will need to be able to communicate at all levels in an appropriate way.
