Brewster Partners are delighted to be supporting an independent CIC to recruit a Chief Operating Officer to join their board of Directors to take the organisation forward and build on the exceptional work already being carried out,


The job

The main objective of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be to lead and direct the organisation to achieve the organisations strategic Business objectives as set by the Chair and Board. You will deliver the vison and objective by by working closely with service users, the public and stakeholders partners to ensure that the voice of Doncaster is heard.

AS COO you will ensure that they organisation maintains its reputation and continues to operate as a commercially viable and successful organisation

You will identify opportunities the business and horizon scan whist also providing strategic advice to the Board on Commercial opportunities and have the ability to ‘fail fast’ should you need to.

You will lead on the 5 strategic objectives as identified in the recently reviewed strategic plan which are Engage, Inform, Influence, Transform and Grow. You will do this through strong leadership of a small team, building on the existing partnerships and networking and identifying new and innovative income streams.

The COO will provide Vision and Leadership to enable all the strategic aims and objectives to be met and exceeded.

The person

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead an organisation forward to the next stage of its development. You will need to ability to work with a board of directors to develop and promote the organisation as a thriving commercial business and have experience of staff management and supervision, including performance management to inspire and lead the team.

Ideally you will be able to provide evidence of dealing with and managing a volunteer base workforce and promote a positive image of the organisation to the public, statutory organisations and partners through building and maintaining effective relationships across all sectors.
