The company

Brewster Partners are delighted to be supporting a charity based in Barnsley to recruit a Director of Finance and Income Generation.

This role will lead on all financial governance as well as develop, diversify, and implement along with the Head of Income Generation new and existing income streams to maximise revenue. 

The job

This role will be pivotal to the organisation and will form part of the Executive Team, reporting to the CEO you will ensure the provision of consistent, robust and expert financial advice whilst ensuring excellent financial governance is maintained.

You will provide strategic leadership of the organisation's finances and ensure that they are compliant with statutory and regulatory obligations. You will enable the organisation to utilise the financial resources it has enabling the organisation to flourish and provide a culture of value for money and ROI.

You will also develop the Income Generation strategy with the Head of Income Generation and provide strategic support across the whole of income generation including Fundraising and other areas of income generation internally and externally maximising ROI and providing evaluation and clear financial goals for all activity.

This role will work across all areas of the organisation as well as external stakeholders, therefore you will grow effective and long term relationships and promote a collaborative cohesive culture across the organisation.

The person

You will need to be ACCA/ACA/CIMA (or equivalent) ideally with a working knowledge of charity financial legislation.

You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have experience of operating at a strategic level and providing sound financial advice to board level.

This role will lead on all financial matters and manage a small team therefore you will have experience of managing a team as well as analysing and producing financial reports and multi-year models, identifying variance and risk and providing commentary.

You will liaise with colleagues across the organisation therefore you will have excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance experts.
