The company

Brewster Partners have an excellent opportunity for a passionate and IT Project Engineer. Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the various internal teams, building and commissioning hardware and software, leading customer site commissioning activities and assisting with project administrative tasks.

The job

  • Attend customer sites, physically install (computer) hardware and/or software and commission with customer
  • Create, maintain and support bespoke operating system builds and mass deployment process
  • Attend project stakeholder meetings and maintain live project status dashboards & reports
  • Act as a single customer point of contact for all project related enquiries
  • Become a technical expert on our software solutions, the configuration and options
  • Become a technical expert on our existing SaaS infrastructure elements
  • Aid the helpdesk in complex issue investigations
  • Train internal and external users and technical staff on our software and solutions
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for internal and external use
  • Assist with the creation of user documentation
  • Fully understand business requirements and be able to discuss and explain them to developers and technical staff
  • Identify project issues and risks, and raise to leadership
  • Where required, assist with the translation of specifications into work packages for development
  • Be a customer ambassador, challenge the approach if not in line with scope / expectations
  • Be a business ambassador, manage customer expectations and prevent scope creep
  • Identify project variance opportunities, initiate a customer sales conversation with Business Development
  • Prepare and execute handover activities to transition from project phase to BAU

  • Experience of Microsoft Operating Systems (Win10, Win11, Server 2012+)
  • Experience of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with basic networking infrastructure
  • Must possess a technical mindset for software and hardware
  • Experience troubleshooting Microsoft operating systems, hardware and 3rd party software packages
  • Experience building desktop PCs, servers and creating gold builds
  • Experience of Linux/Smart TVs an advantage
