The company

Brewster Partners are delighted to be recruiting for a Print Engineer. The successful candidate will be from a Mechanical or Graphic Design background.
This role involves working days and nights.

The job

  • Verification supplied by Graphic Studio materials in terms of content, technology and regulations:
  • check design - LEN files with the printout or cromalain and client materials, in graphic programs - Automation Engine Viewer, WebCenter or program Adobe
  • check the compliance of the supplied colour patterns - rollouts - with materials supplied by the client
  • Perform printing plates - check them again with printing or cromalain and client materials
  • Perform patterns on production after approval by the graphics specialist
  • Repair and maintenance of machines - service, repair, adjustment and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on a mechanical switch
  • Issuance and acceptance of materials from the production line. Settlement of them in manufacturing cards and managing Excel file
  • Mixing inks on urgent needs of the production line
  • Every month check the inventory of inks
  • Assistance in the implementation and maintenance of systems CPUK, including internal audit in accordance with the requirements. (theory, practice audit and training will be provided)
  • Assistance in training CPUK and where appropriate CPUK or external to the agency's staff and / or contractors
  • Always using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Comply with all health & safety regulations, rules, procedures and policies.
  • Comply with all environmental requirements as stipulated in ISO 14001 and BRC procedures and guidelines on health & safety.
  • Perform other such duties of a similar nature as from time to time may be required including any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.

The person

  • Ability of logical thinking and common sense
  • HSE IT software (i.e. Velocity EHS)
  • Knowledge of graphic programs, pre-press and production process.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, ISO & Fire prevention.
  • Mechanical, Engineering, Automation, Technical – Knowledge and experience
  • Eye for detail
  • Ability to work to specifications
