Brewster Partners are delighted to be recruiting for a Technical Manager. You will drive the technical support function across all operations, ensuring the business meets all our customer’s requirements in the technical arena in the most effective manner.

The job

  • Assist the service team to resolve customer issues, specifically the support of technical resolves and diagnostics. Predominantly, this will be phone support but will involve hands-on site visits when required.
  • Assist the workshop team on technical information, fault finding, and preparing clear action plans to resolve any issue. This will involve hands-on practical assistance on New and used equipment.
  • Analyse current/common faults, with failure analysis and clear communication to ensure the full team and our Brand Partners are aware of issues and resolves.
  • Support the technical induction of all Engineers, and when required the internal technical training of employees.
  • Support sales when required with installs, demos, and technical assistance on sales visits.
  • Implement and maintain the Company’s Quality Management System and relevant Quality related accreditation.
  • Creation and deployment of a departmental strategy that will aim to achieve the goals and objectives flowed down from Group and the General Manager.
  • Provide and coordinate key projects to improve the business and achieve the relevant business goals and objectives.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to achieve, the above, required performance, ensuring issues are addressed appropriately, supported by implementing appropriate KPI’s.
  • Encourage the development of individuals through the implementation of agreed goals and objectives.
  • Research and prepare reports based on operational activities and set relevant targets

The person

  • Have a proven track record in a technical role within the Heavy Plant or Recycling Industry.
  • Have great customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of customers, colleagues, and brand partners.
  • Have a strong but understanding personality, be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and organised, with good numerical and computer skills.
  • Have the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and to tight deadlines
