Brewster Partners Charity and Not for Profit are currently recruiting for a Project Officer within a Charity organisation for their services in Harrogate.
This is a full time, permanent role, based on site. The client is open to people who do not have experience in this sector, but can display a passion for wanting to work within it.
This role is working with individuals, helping them to reduce the risks, and likelihood of abusive behaviour to themselves and others, through intervention and motivational interviewing, whilst also looking to protect the potential victims through highlighting specific issues to relevant bodies.
You will also manage a case load of clients, offering 121 support and triage, with the group facilitators, ensuring of the correct methodologies for the individual.
Project Officers are required to work unsociable hours, as some groups are delivered outside of normal working hours.
This role will suit someone who is emotionally resilient and robust, and someone who has an appreciation of those involved within this sector. Our client is open to people without experience in the sector, but can evidence a passion for working in the line of work:
You will need to be able to:
- Demonstrate a commitment and enthusiasm for working with our client group
- An understanding of the nature of domestic abuse and its effects on men, women, and children
- The ability to organise your own case and workload
- An understanding of assessing the risk to those experiencing domestic abuse
- You will also need a drivers license and have access to a car
