Purchase Ledger Assistant
The company
Brewster Partners are currently working with rapidly growing engineering firm based in Normanton who are looking to add a Purchase Ledger to their current finance team.
The position is an excellent opportunity for someone who has prior experience in a similar background, who is looking to build upon their current skillset in a new environment.
The job
This opening is a chance to join a successful business at a very exciting point in time, adopting new processes and being a key member of the team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Entering and matching purchase invoices against purchase orders
- Handling all relevant queries from suppliers via phone and email
- Communicating with the purchasing team, ensuring purchase values can be correctly invoiced
- Supporting month end processes such as reconciliation of supplier statements
- Being involved in year end activities, working with the support team and assistant with audits
The person
- Previous purchase ledger experience to a similar degree is required
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
- Being able to work as part of a team, assisting where needed in other areas
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
