Brewster Partners are working with a highly successful accountancy firm who are looking to take on an experienced payroll administrator to integrate into an exciting and dynamic environment. Having multiple offices across the UK, this role will be based in Rotherham. With a workplace of over 40 employees and an annual turnover of £20 million, this opening is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further their career with a competitive salary package of up to £30,000.

The job

Reporting to senior management, the individual needs to be a strong communicator with efficient organisational skills to deal with a range of queries in a high volume environment. Excellent mathematical skills with a keen eye for details will be crucial in achieving success in this role.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Accurately maintaining payroll processing on a month end to end basis
  • Dealing with new starters and leavers
  • Processing and maintenance of existing payroll software
  • Ensuring accurate processing of holiday payments
  • Calculating tax and national insurance deductions from allocated wages
  • Directly addressing with HMRC, resolving any queries that may arise
  • Processing tax forms to issue out
  • Resolving any issues with payslips and hours work
  • Filing of relevant reports

The person

  • Prior experience working within a high employee volume accountancy practice
  • 2 year prior payroll experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient Excel skills
