Hearings Officer
The company
Brewster Partners Charity & Not for Profit are currently recruiting a Hearings Officer for a leading Public Sector client. Based in Sheffield city centre, offering hybrid working, this is a full time, temporary opportunity.
The job
This is a full time, temporary position for at least four weeks, and will be done on a hybrid working basis.
Within this role you will assist in the running of fitness to practice hearings, whilst independently provide support, advice, and guidance to all parties at a hearing. You will also assist adjudicators including assisting with final proofing and quality assurance of determinations, whilst being proactive in anticipating and resolving issues that may arise during a hearing and keep things on track.
As well as this, you will assist hearing support officers with bundle preparation and redaction, whilst assisting Hearing Case managers with minutes/note taking in case management meetings.
The person
The successful person will have an understanding of social work legislation, as well as being a very strong administrator. You will possess excellent interpersonal and written skills, as well as being confident with oral communication.
If you have experience of case law, this would be beneficial, as well as a strong appreciation of ensuring of confidentiality for all parties.
