The job

This role is within the charity arm of the organisation.

This role is based in Lambeth, is full time (40 hours) and permanent. The hours of work are between 6am-11pm.

As Chef Mentor, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment that facilitates community sharing, learning and food workshops. As well as this you will:

  • Use food to build communities with the will and skills to succeed
  • Support individuals to achieve positive change in their own lives
  • Provide a daily, morning and dinner service within the community cafe to all our members

The person

The ideal person will have experience in a similar position previously, as well as:

  • Holding current Food Safety and Hygiene to a minimum of level 2 Certificate
  • Desirable experience in delivering effective cooking training programmes
  • Support and collaborate with all members to achieve the best results together
  • Proven experience in a chef role
  • Be proud to make a difference
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Passionate communicator
