The company

Brewster Partners are excited to be supporting a fantastic, profitable and growing local business, recruiting a Purchase Ledger Controller to join their existing teams. The role is managing the purchase ledger function of the business, processing invoices, reconciling statements and bank accounts, and processing company payments in both GBP and foreign currencies. The role is fast paced, and offers great opportunities for someone who is experienced in purchase ledger to take the next step. 

The job

  • Process invoices in an accurate and timely manner
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Dealing with supplier enquiries
  • Following up disputed invoices to ensure a satisfactory conclusion
  • Monitor debit PL account balances regularly
  • Monthly purchase ledger reconciliations
  • Porcessing all company payments
  • Reconciling company bank accounts
  • Cash book maintenance
  • GRNI reconciliation
  • Processing expense claims
  • Assisting with year end audit as required 

The person

  • Previous experience within purchase ledger is essential
  • Strong IT skills
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • A strong communicator, both written and face to face
  • Strong team player
