Brewster Partners are working on an exciting Special Projects Developer role for a leading engineering company based in the East Midlands.

The job

Essential Functions and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with the scoping, design, and planning of new solutions
  • Develop optimal code in line with supplied requirements
  • Challenge requirements and proposed approaches, work towards better standards with the team 
  • Develop reusable code where possible
  • Assist with the capturing of new business requirements
  • Code maintenance of existing systems in place
  • Triage, fix, and root cause any issues which arise 
  • Attend client facing meetings, conference calls relating to project, support related activities and actions
  • Identify missing or incorrect process, control and procedures and raise with management were missing or incorrect 
  • Work with the QA team to resolve issues in code
  • Work with the project team to transition solutions from project phase to BAU 
  • Ensure documentation is created and maintained for technical deployments
  • Act as a technical resource for internal and external projects if required
  • Feed experience and ideas into product roadmaps or active project developments
  • Occasionally attend client facing meetings or conference calls relating to project or support related activities and actions Be aware of and comply with polices surrounding client confidential data and any data which is subject to GDPR.
  • Report any breeches to the General Manager

  • VB.NET
  • C# an advantage
  • WPF an advantage / willing to learn 
  • Multimedia experience (video / image control, processing, and display) an advantage
  • Windows API an advantage
  • VisioForge / Telerik / SyncFusion control experience an advantage
  • Agile / SCRUM / Waterfall
