The company

Brewster Partners are exclusively supporting an established Learning Trust within South Yorkshire to recruit a Chief Finance Officer.

The Trust was established in 2014 and aim to provide outstanding educational experiences for children from age 3 to 18 year olds throughout the Trust and in doing so drive community change.

This is an outstanding role within a forward thinking organisation and will suit someone with ambition and enthusiasm as well as sound all round finance experience.    

The job

The Trust are looking for an outstanding finance leader that can take the organisation onto greater success, inspiring the staff and children to work at the highest level possible.

You will join a team of committed and dedicated staff, who set the highest professional standards.

To be successful you will need experience of working in a senior position and not only be a qualified accountant but have tenacity, diplomacy with an abundance of energy, commitment and emotional intelligence to provide the challenge, support and drive required at this next stage of the Trusts development.

The CFO will be responsible for the operational line management of the finance function and managing all the financial accounting and transactional finance for the MAT, and will ensure all systems are up-to-date and reporting is timely and in line with required annual financial returns. They will monitor financial performance and oversee the estates and capital development programmes.

 This role will drive change within the finance operation of the Trust, bringing greater efficiency in the way the Trust carries out its business and build capacity utilising the capacity available within the Trust.

The person

You will need considerable personal enthusiasm with a high level of integrity and professionalism as well as resilience and the ability to work to deadlines and ensure completion

You will be working with internal and external stakeholders therefore strong interpersonal, communication and team working skills will be essential along with the ability to inspire, motivate, enable and get the best from people.

 This role will need you to be flexible and able to respond to rapidly changing demands and environment and have the ability to make and justify difficult decisions.
