The company

Brewster Partners are working alongside a Doncaster based business, part of a larger group.  Due to business expansion they are now recruiting a brand new role into the HR team for Learning & Development Officer.  This position will be based within Doncaster with some nationwide travel on an ad hoc basis. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, maintaining and reporting on L&D activities for the business, reviewing skills gaps, planning training activities and supporting the HR Manager to create career pathways within the organisation.

The job

  • Ensure essential training is sourced and delivered
  • Induct and onboard new starters
  • Training needs analysis and evaluations
  • Develop material to attract trainees from educational facilities
  • Design training and deliver to delegates
  • Assess and oversee apprentice and CITB levy costs and draw down on funding
  • Support the HR Manager with attracting future talent to the business
  • Performance reviews
  • To assist the HR team as and when required 

The person

  • Experienced within L&D
  • Relevant qualification preferred although not essential
  • Ideally someone from a manufacturing or engineering background
  • Excellent use of MS Office
  • The ideal person will be available immediately 
  • Strong people management skills
