Brewster Partners are working exclusively with a manufacturing business in Worksop as they look to recruit a Technical Sales Engineer with sales experience in the material handling and conveyor belt industry.

The job

Summary

Your role as Technical Sales, will require you:

  • To carry out the sales functions in order to ensure that a consistent flow of orders are offered to the business that meets the targets set for you by the business.
  • To develop a strong customer portfolio and order base as well as in conjunction with external resources as necessary to bring orders into the business. The key is to add value to the business, such that customers place repeat orders thus creating long term relationships with key accounts.
  • To work effectively with the sales and marketing team to maintain unparalleled appreciation of the market place, and in particular customer present, near future and blue-sky aspirations.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for organising and managing your work effectively.
  • You will build relationships with existing and targeted key customers and develop business of the type and nature agreed with each of these potential customers that drives profitable business.
  • Finding the means and way to ensure customers place repeat business through the provision of solutions that meet their needs will be a strategic element to your day to day activities.
  • You will be expected to develop your sales plan with the sales management for the products and services sold by the business against your targets set by the business and reporting back using the company CRM system and at sales meetings on the progress of your potential orders.
  • You will be knowledgeable and demonstrate innovative sales methodology in all areas associated with the sale of automation and materials handling systems and associated products.

The person

  • You will have a proven track record of successfully developing business and sales in the material handling and automation industries.
  • Typical industry experience could include automotive production and engineering, logistics and warehouse systems as well as robotic applications and food industries.
  • Specific technical qualifications are not critical, but a “can do” attitude is. This combined with a clear record of achievement in the materials handling and automation environment when allied to a thorough knowledge of all aspects of materials handling and automation specification and design including control will allow you to demonstrate success that can be transferred and developed within this role.
  • Willingness and the ability to travel both within the UK and across wider Europe to support and develop business is important.
