The company

 Brewster Partners are currently working with a leading manufacturing company based in Derbyshire.

The job

To provide first line advice to the management cohort across the Group, encouraging best practice HR. Support the HR Business Partners with case work and administrative duties. Provide general administrative and systems support to ensure compliance and service delivery. The role involves supporting, and occasionally leading, projects and initiatives to support the overall business plan and the HR department’s specific objectives.

HR Strategy

Assists in the implementation of HR strategy, policies and procedures to meet human resource requirements and support the short, medium and long term business goals of the company.

Assists in the implementation of HR elements of organisational change programmes.

Employee Relations

Coaches and advises managers on conducting effective investigative and formal activity, and other employee relations issues in line with company policies, employment legislation and recognised best practice to encourage the timely resolution of all areas of employee relations up to manager level.

Supports the activity of other senior HR team members, and oversees administrative compliance and best practice record-keeping.

Maintains up to date knowledge of employment legislation and ensures managers’ actions are compliant.

Service-led Human Resources

Directly deals with all day to day human resource lifecycle matters including enquiries regarding absence management, all types of leave, working pattern arrangements, retirement etc. for all group companies.

Ensures the effective administration of all the employment lifecycle company procedures, including systems compliance.

Prepares metrics, analysis and reports as requested.

Assists in, and leads where appropriate, workshops / training on HR related topics, and creates guidance manuals / media related, and other supporting material.

Assists in the development and review of new and existing HR policies and handbooks with the aim of promoting innovative and creative HR solutions.

Assists HRIS users in the processes, and where required, the development and maintenance of the HRIS.

Undertakes project work as directed by other senior HR team members.

Undertakes any other duties which may reasonably be held to be within the scope of the post-holder.

Hours and Environment

The nature of our business operation is multi-site across various shift patterns, therefore, working conditions and hours may vary; locations include the central HR office, or remotely working across other sites to accommodate.
