Brewster Partners are supporting with a temporary to permanent HR Administrator role in Barnsley, in the engineering sector.

For the right person this role will go permanent, however it isn't guaranteed.

temporary: £10 per hour

permanent: £20k per annum

The job

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fast growing company.  We are currently seeking an experienced HR Administrator to further strengthen our team based in Barnsley. Whilst the role is initially a temporary position it anticipated that this will become a permanent position.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will support the department with all HR administration duties.  This is a hands-on position in a busy department, which offers the future opportunity to be involved in projects subject to your experience or qualifications.

  • Working in the HR Department providing assistance to the HR Manager
  • Managing all areas of HR administration, issuing offer letters, contracts and reference requests
  • Recording holiday, sickness and other absences to ensure accurate information is available to employees and managers
  • Maintenance of personnel files and updating HR Information Systems
  • Maintain and update training records including scheduling courses and bookings
  • Resolving ad hoc queries such as holidays, sickness and salary queries
  • Analysis of clocking in records to enable accurate payroll processing
  • Assisting with the recruitment process including scheduling interviews
  • General office and all HR administration
  • Further administration support in both the Finance and Sales teams

The successful candidate will be an experienced HR Administrator with strong communication skills, attention to detail, accuracy and display a high level of customer service and professionalism.  You will have strong skills in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.  Experience of working with HR Information Systems would be desirable.

You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8.30 am to 5.00 pm). The company offers 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
